Q:  What time should I drop off or pick up my dog(s)?
A: Drop off & pick up time is between 9am and 2pm. We appreciate that flight times can be at odd hours, that work days end later than 2pm, or that cutting a long weekend short is a drag. We'll accommodate you outside these hours whenever possible but please note we can't guarantee this consideration.

Q: Do I bring food?
A: The rates for boarding include food for your dog. The food we provide is a lamb and rice formula by Kirkland. In recent years the pet food industry has made enormous improvements to the quality of food and has increased the number of specialty foods. Most of the gang who frequent Rural bring their own dog food to keep consistency in the digestive system. For many dogs it's hard on the system to switch foods while here and then switch back when returning home. The bottom line is that it's your decision. We're happy when you're happy.

Q: Can you accommodate Raw Food Diets?
A: Absolutely. There's a freezer in the barn.

Q: Does my dog need vaccinations?
A: We require all dogs to be fully vaccinated and for the vaccinations to be up to date. The required vaccinations for core viruses are: Rabies, Canine Distemper Virus, Adenovirus Type 2 (a component of kennel cough) Parainfluenza, and Canine Parvovirus. In addition we require Bordatella bronchiseptica (Kennel Cough). These are usually given when dogs will be in 'high risk' situations such as day care or kennels.

Q. What is the story regarding deposits?
A. There are 2 occasions when we take deposits. We take them during busy holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Spring Break. Also various summer weekends when there is a holiday and the kennel books up we will secure your spot with a deposit.
The second occasion when we'll take a deposit is when you are new to the kennel and are booking a stay for your dog longer than 4 days. 
Deposits are non-refundable. It's your commitment to us that you will be using the spot. We turn away many people during these peak times. If your plans change or you decide to leave your dog with a friend we will still keep the deposit. Please know this information before agreeing to pay the deposit to reserve your place.
